I've been looking at some photos when I saw some guys from Paraguay setting fire on a brazilian flag and it reminded me of "War of the Triple Alliance" (or "Paraguayan War").
The "Paraguayan War" was a conflict between Brasil, Argentina and Uruguay (Triple Alliance) and Paraguay.
In 1860's the ruler of Paraguay (Solano López) started to build Industries, and the British didn't like it, so they decided to put an end on Paraguay economic independence. But they didn't wanna come all the way to south America, so they gave weapons and money to the triple alliance...
